Progress on the heavy metal book has slowed down somewhat. And by somewhat I mean it's just stalled. I've run out of gas on it and every time I try to open up the last chapter I was working on I just feel a sense of dread. And it's not because I don't want to write it - I really do - but it's because I know just how big of a project this has turned out to be. My next book 'Harder Than Ever: A History of Heavy Metal' is in the works - originally it was set to be completed this year and for release in 2027... However, the book is turning out to be a bit of a beast and as such, the release date has been pushed back to 2028. Just so I have time to fill the pages with as much HEAVY METAL as I possibly can. My apologies to those of you who were expecting the book in 2027. But I promise you that the wait will be more than worth it.

It's been a funny old year so far both in the book writing world and in the 'real world'. There have been some incredible highs and, as always, some incredible lows.
